Comment Policy

We like good conversation. We also like not turning the internet into a flaming dumpster. This policy exists so the comments stay useful, readable, and worth coming back to.

By posting a comment on Expedition Edge, you agree to follow these rules.

Be respectful

Disagreeing is fine. Being rude isn’t.

If you wouldn’t say it to someone’s face in a normal conversation, don’t post it here.

Stay on topic

Comments should add something to the post: a question, a correction, a firsthand experience, or a thoughtful take. If a thread drifts, we may trim or remove off-topic comments to keep things readable.

No spam or self-promotion

We’re not a link farm.

If you have something genuinely relevant (for example, a research source or a useful local detail), include it with context. Drive-by link drops will be removed.

Don’t post illegal or unsafe content

Protect privacy

Don’t post personal information—yours or anyone else’s.

That includes phone numbers, addresses, private emails, booking references, or identifying details about private individuals. If you share a story involving someone else, keep it anonymous unless you have their permission.

Keep it readable

A few guidelines that make comment sections better:

Moderation

Comments are moderated. That means we may:

We don’t moderate based on whether we agree with you. We moderate based on whether you’re following the rules above and contributing in good faith.

Editing and removals

We may edit comments for clarity, formatting, or to remove sensitive information (like accidental doxxing). We may remove comments without warning if they violate this policy.

Liability

You’re responsible for what you post. Comments reflect the views of the commenter, not Expedition Edge.
